If you use the VA clinic in the Richland Federal Building, a bigger one is on the way. Officials broke ground Thursday at 3811 Plaza Way in Kennewick, across from Trios Southridge Hospital. The two-story, 100,000-square-foot clinic will add pharmacy, radiology with MRI capacity, dental and more, so fewer veterans have to drive to Walla Walla or Seattle.
“It's going to be measured by healthier veterans, stronger families and lives that have been improved because the care is available right here in their community.”
Luke Strozewski, acting regional operations officer, VA health service area
The clinic will add or expand a dozen services for more than 5,000 veterans in the area. Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., and Rep. Dan Newhouse, R-Wash., both worked to get the money.
