- ➤ Senator Patty Murray said the firing of Roger Jarrell— a key official for nuclear cleanup at Hanford— may be the first step in plans to cancel the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project. - ➤ On Monday, September 8, results from the Phase 2 trial showed that the new pill baxdrostat lowered systolic blood pressure by about 5% in patients with chronic kidney disease and high blood pressure while reducing urine albumin by 55% compared to those on placebo - the study of 195 patients also noted higher potassium levels in 41% of those treated.
