- ➤ Avelo Airlines will stop West Coast flights at Tri-Cities Airport on Monday, October 20—travelers with tickets after this date should contact the airline. Alaska Airlines will add flights to Hollywood Burbank starting Sunday, October 26, and Breeze Airways will launch nonstop flights to Hollywood with a no plane change option to Provo from March. - ➤ Workers from the Central Plateau Cleanup Company demolished the 142K Cold Vacuum Drying Facility and a nearby 650-square-foot emergency power structure at Hanford Site as part of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management's ongoing risk-reduction efforts. The removal of the 16,000-square-foot facility that once prepared nuclear fuel for storage lowers risks along the Columbia River—debris was transported to Hanford's regulated disposal facility. - ➤ Researchers from the NIH Recover initiative found that COVID-19 can cause long-lasting smell loss—80% of those who noticed changes scored low on a 40-odor test while many without noticeable issues also scored below normal.
