GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Senator Patty Murray said she spoke with Energy Secretary Chris Wright earlier this week and that DOE will halt the program to turn nuclear waste into glass at the Hanford site, which may cause the Waste Treatment Plant to miss its key October 15 milestone—she has also placed a hold on Tim Walsh’s nomination as Assistant Secretary of Energy for Environmental Management.
