- ➤ Residents across Tri-Cities have reported a surge in rat activity from South Richland to South Kennewick and Benton City over the past two years. - ➤ Pasco Mayor Pete Serrano is being considered for the role of U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington pending Senate confirmation — if confirmed, his service as mayor will end. KFLD
- ➤ Washington's new rent control law took effect May 7 and led eight landlords to be fined $2,000 each for increasing rents after the deadline, including Deer Point Meadows Investments (owner of a Kennewick RV Park) which refunded extra charges to tenants.
