Good morning, Richland.

The Tri-Cities will host the annual Water Follies event this weekend at Columbia Park — featuring hydroplane racing and the Gold Cup celebration on its 60th anniversary — as organizers expect 70,000 visitors and $2.8 million in revenue.

Washington and Oregon are the only states where gas prices rose since 2023; in Washington, prices increased 17 cents per gallon and in Oregon they rose 11 cents while the national average dropped from $3.40 to $3.00.

The Washington State gas tax also went up by 6 cents at the beginning of this month—adding to local fuel costs.

The City of Richland now accepts applications for seven volunteer boards, committees and commissions that guide decisions on topics from economic development — library services and more.

Residents can check the News Section or contact the City Clerk's Office for details.
