- ➤ On July 15, Kennewick police pursued and arrested Herbert Girton after he fled a traffic stop near Steptoe Street and W Tucannon Avenue for speeding and not displaying a license plate; he was charged with driving while his license was suspended, operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device, failing to obey a police officer and obstructing a public servant — authorities also issued civil infractions exceeding $1,500 — following a coordinated investigation with Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
