Tri-Cities Airport will see changes when Breeze Airways begins two weekly flights to Burbank from March 18, 2026 (replacing Avelo Airlines, which ends its West Coast flights on December 2 while Alaska Airlines continues service to support holiday travel).

Historic sites in Kennewick, Richland, and Pasco were recognized for shaping the Tri-Cities' commercial growth during Hanford's rise.

The Kennewick Fruit & Produce Company Building — known as Farmer’s Exchange for over 100 years — was added to the National Register on July 7, joining several archaeological districts recognized in the 1970s and 1980s.

Officials said the Ruppert Rd and Belmont Blvd intersection will fully close on August 8 — a detour map will be posted a week before.
