- ➤ Therapeutic Riding of Tri-Cities (TROT) will host its 11th Annual Mane Event on June 28 at the Benton County Fairgrounds from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The benefit will feature silent and live auctions, barbecue, music, dancing and games to support equine-assisted programs for children, veterans and first responders. - ➤ Old Timer, a senior Jack Russell Terrier, arrived at Tri-Cities Animal Services in December after a vehicle stop and recovered enough to be searched for a new home on June 4th. - ➤ After filing for bankruptcy in May, Rite Aid is shutting down additional Washington State stores—two in the Tri-Cities, including one on Lee Blvd in Richland and another on North Steptoe Street in Kennewick, with the Pasco location remaining open. KONA
- ➤ Rite Aid is closing two stores in Richland and Kennewick this week as part of nearly 900 closures nationwide following a bankruptcy filing in May. A store in Pasco remains open—and more changes are expected as the list of closed locations grows. KFLD

- ➤ A Kennewick man was charged with felony vehicular assault after he allegedly stabbed a woman several times and then drove his car into a pick-up truck on June 17—police said the woman was taken to the hospital with serious but stable injuries and the truck driver suffered only minor injuries—. - ➤ WSU Tri-Cities has seen steady enrollment growth over the last two fall semesters as local school partnerships and strong job placements drive student interest.
