- ➤ Retired firefighter Bud Shaw celebrated his 90th birthday and Father's Day on Sunday, June 15 by waving to a caravan of cars that threw confetti, balloons — and cards outside his home. Family members from across the county joined the event and he even climbed onto a historic fire truck as part of the festivities. KEPR
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, the Pasco City Council will discuss a proposal to end the fluoridation of the city's drinking water—a practice that began on November 2nd, 1998 for 23,700 customer accounts—and if the measure moves forward, customers and the state health department will be notified 90 days before a vote. - ➤ Richland has launched an effort to review off-street parking for its central core and Columbia Point waterfront—this initiative follows state reforms for affordable housing, urban growth, and environmental sustainability.
