- ➤ Indivisible Tri-Cities is hosting an Armed Forces Day Picnic on May 17 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Regional Veterans Memorial in Columbia Park (Kennewick) to honor veterans and active-duty service members and invites community members to bring snacks and appetizers. NBC Tri-Cities

- ➤ Benton County Public Works Engineering studied a half-mile stretch of Badger Road and found the clear zone and sight distances are not enough for a 50 MPH limit—so they proposed lowering it to 35 MPH. Commissioners will consider the change on May 13 as the road connects Webber Canyon Road with the Interstate-82 interchange. FOX41 Yakima
