  • The Richland Public Library will break ground on The Lawn, an outdoor space with tables, chairs, green areas, and an open-air theater surrounded by decorative fencing that offers security. CRIME NEWS

  • Kennewick police arrested 29-year-old Brendan Armes—accused of vandalism—last Friday after linking him to over 30 tagging incidents that resulted in at least $39,000 in cleanup and repair, police said.  The KEY
  • Richland police located a suspect at Kadlec Regional Medical Center after a man with stab wounds to his head and face was treated and identified his attacker near Duportail and Riverside Ave on Sunday—he was taken there by a family member and has since been arrested—and now he is held in Benton County Jail.  The KEY
  • The Benton County Sheriff's Office is asking for help after a white truck was seen dumping suspicious items in Finley on April 23 — a local citizen took photos of a white Chevy pickup and a black hatchback, and anyone with tips should call non-emergency dispatch at 509-628-0333 and reference case number BCSO25-010719.  NBC Tri-Cities

  • Students from Richland schools finished 5th in a world-wide Lego competition in Houston — they competed in the FIRST LEGO League World Festival against over 60,000 teams. The Intelligent Mavericks from Lewis and Clark Elementary, Libby Middle School, and Enterprise Middle School were the only U.S. team to earn the Champion’s Finalist Award.  KONA
