- ➤ A driver was arrested Thursday for felony eluding after a chase on I-82 near Badger Road when his van swerved across lanes, hit a semi, and went into the median where it caught fire after a KIBE school resource officer deployed spikes—witnesses reported he appeared to be under the influence and he refused commands until deputies removed him. - ➤ A Benton County man (56), Jason Tanner, was sentenced to 140 months in prison after he fired a shot at sheriff’s deputies during a March 2024 arrest attempt at his travel trailer amid warrants for obstruction, reckless driving and driving with an invalid license, and he later surrendered after calling dispatch.
