- ➤ More than 1,000 kids joined the annual fishing derby at Columbia Park pond on Sat, April 18, where nearly 8,000 fish were stocked by Kids Outdoor Education to teach local children fishing. Kids aged 5 to 14 had gear available to rent, and families can fish the pond year-round. KEPR
- ➤ Lorax, a friendly 60-pound dog from Tri-Cities Animal Services needing a second chance, is ready for adoption after being rescued from outside Northwest Golf Cars on West Kennewick Avenue. He shows good manners with commands and may work best as the only pet in his new home. The KEY

- ➤ Data centers along the Columbia River are heating the air and creating fog known as the 'Google Cloud' (a phenomenon that sometimes forces flights to divert from The Dalles to Portland) on chilly winter mornings, raising concerns over water use among local communities. The KEY
