- ➤ The Royal Family Fairy Tale Ball is set to take place today at 12 p.m. at Southridge Event Center in Kennewick and will feature 38 movie characters, family activities, a parade and lunch to raise money for local foster kids. NBC Tri-Cities
- ➤ Tri-Cities nonprofit Rehema for Kids is marking 20 years of providing care and education to about 240 children at its 20-acre campus in Kitale, Kenya, and will host its annual (Safari to Kenya) fundraiser on Sept. 18 to celebrate this milestone. Apple Valley News Now

- ➤ Amistad Elementary hosts ongoing family engagement events to boost student success by connecting families with teachers and staff. The interactive nights feature STEM activities, group reading, and access to meals and essential supplies. NBC Tri-Cities
- ➤ Pasco's Rise and Shine Early Childhood Center received a $3.2 million state grant for expansion as part of Washington's $55 million Early Learning Facilities Program (expected to create over 2,000 new child care slots statewide). NBC Tri-Cities
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The new Columbia Valley Recovery Center in Kennewick will provide 24 hour care for patients with addiction and mental illness starting May 1 and aims to cut long wait times and offsite trips. Local leaders say the facility is a one stop shop for emergency and recovery services (using trauma informed care). KEPR
- ➤ The 19th annual Clot Trot takes place Saturday, April 25 at Howard Amon Park with free 5K and 1-mile run/walk options, starting at 9 a.m. The community event raises funds for hemophilia research; registration is online until Friday, April 24 (or available on race day morning beginning at 8 a.m.).
