- ➤ Drivers on Highway 395 north of Pasco face a new 65 mph limit—cut from the previous speed—after 10 fatal crashes in five years, and state troopers are enforcing the change to help boost highway safety. KEPR

- ➤ Richland Public Schools plan to shift new students from the crowded Badger Mountain Elementary (near a large new apartment complex) to Lewis and Clark Elementary; a presentation for public comment is scheduled for coming weeks and the change will take effect next school year. NBC Tri-Cities
