- ➤ On April 4 at 4:34 a.m., fire crews responded to a shop on the 400 block of South 41st Avenue in West Richland that was fully engulfed in flames, and they controlled the blaze by 5:18 a.m.—no homes were damaged though nearby backyard sheds were harmed while investigators work to learn the cause. - ➤ The Port of Pasco will consider selling 30 acres at its Reimann Industrial Center to Idaho-based Cold Summit Development at a meeting scheduled for April 9 at 10:30 a.m.—the company requested changes to contract terms on permitting and building timelines to meet its lender's requirements. - ➤ Senate Bill 5041, which would extend unemployment benefits to striking or locked-out workers, was discussed in a public hearing on April 4th in Yakima.
