- ➤ Richland Fire officials contained the Yakima Delta fire that reignited Tuesday near 240—burning about 75 acres along the east side of State Route 240 where marshy terrain made it hard to fight and a helicopter crew was called, though crews still monitor for occasional smoke. KEPR

- ➤ Pizza Speedway — a new restaurant in Kennewick — opened on March 26th with a drive-thru that serves orders in about three minutes, said owner Chuck Sleater. - ➤ Benton County sheriffs said that on March 26th at 7:05 a.m. a 19-year-old man with multiple warrants fled a traffic stop on SR 397 and Bowles Road after he jumped on the driver and forced the car into gear before running on foot through Finley (face charges of attempt to elude, kidnapping, and unlawful possession of firearms) while deputies recovered a pistol from the car (found on the floor). - ➤ Richland police arrested a suspect Tuesday after an adult man fired shots at a car on Saturday and entered an apartment that led officers to call in a SWAT team— recovering a stolen Dodge Challenger abandoned in an orchard on Sunday while the investigation remains ongoing. NBC Tri-Cities
- ➤ Authorities in Benton County are searching for 19-year-old Connor A. Schoneck, who fled a Tuesday night traffic stop near SR 397 after officers recognized him for outstanding warrants — he is accused of kidnapping, fleeing police, and possessing a firearm. Apple Valley News Now

- ➤ Today, the Richland Parks and Recreation Commission selected four projects to improve local parks and facilities using $40,000 from the Park Reserve Fund—each project will be recommended to the city council at a special meeting.
