- ➤ Allegiant Air announced Jan. 13 its acquisition of Sun Country Airlines for $1.5 billion, a move aimed at expanding its international travel network while keeping fares affordable. - ➤ Researchers at Washington State University and the Prosser Research Extension Center developed a low-cost robotic arm using a 2-foot inflatable fabric limb to pick apples safely near workers, easing seasonal labor shortages in orchards.
