- ➤ Summer's Hub of Pasco is hosting an event Saturday to help local vendors overcome a post-holiday sales slump — food trucks and other vendors will benefit from increased community support and opportunities to revive their business activity. KEPR

- ➤ Washington is working to build small nuclear reactors and fusion power. In Richland, Amazon is teaming with Energy Northwest and X-energy to study a site near Columbia power plant for a project that could add safe, clean energy in coming years. Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business

- ➤ Kennewick School District will complete a $45.5 million upgrade to the Tri-Tech Skills Center by July. Steel beams are now in place for the 66,000 sqft expansion on Kellogg Street (this project will support new pharmacy tech, HVAC and plumbing programs). NBC Tri-Cities

- ➤ The Kennewick Irrigation District reported improved reservoir levels after recent storms though officials warn drought may persist into next summer as it reviews a Central Reservoir Storage project for 12,000 acre-foot capacity in the Tri-Cities. Apple Valley News Now

- ➤ Visit Tri-Cities is accepting applications through Feb. 13 for its IM Tri program, which offers nearly $10,000 in coaching, wellness, equipment support, and race entry fees for two local residents planning to train for Ironman 70.3 Washington in September 2026 (the program is open to first-time participants only).
